Abandoned House at Sunset - Louisville

Abandoned House at Sunset - Louisville

When I got into Louisville I passed through the area that had obviously been damaged by the tornado last year and I wanted to make sure to get some photos before I left, so as I was leaving Louisville the sun was setting when I stopped by to take a few quick photos and this is one that I captured. It's quite a beautiful sunset contrasting with the damage to the house which has left it abandoned. The tornado last April left a lot of damage in it's wake and the areas that it passed through have been left scarred, so I wanted to capture something nice amidst the damage with this photo.

Love this Strand theater in Louisville, which is apparently part of a string of Strand theaters (also saw one in Kosciusko). Not sure if there are more around the state or the country.

This is the Strand theatre in downtown Louisville. It appears to still be in use, though I took this photo two years ago. I though this would be fitting in monochrome since it is an old theatre.
