Blazing Sky

Blazing Sky

I went out to shoot the sunset last night because I have been slacking lately on my photo taking and when you vow to post a photo every single day you cannot be a slacker. Besides, I don't want to just post a photo, I want to post good photos. Anyway, the sunset was more than I could've asked for. I went to the Tombigbee River on Hwy 50 first to try to get some photos of the channels that run off from the river in that area. I also planned to stop at this tree, which is my favorite tree ever, and get some photos of it since I haven't photographed it in a while. I knew as soon as I snapped the first 3 photos that it was going to be hard to mess this one up. I ended taking multiple angled shots in landscape and portrait just to see which photo would be the best, though I knew none of them would be bad. This is my favorite one of those, but I will be sure to post more of them in the coming days. The colors were great. The grass is starting to transition into fall colors, but not quite there yet, so you get some greens, yellows and oranges against that pastel sky that is full of color. It was perfect timing.

This was a gorgeous sunset that I was able to capture this past weekend. Lately the sky has been so crystal clear that it's been hard to get a good sunst or sunrise.

Almost all of the HDR photos that I take are taken with my 19mm Sigma Wide Angle lens because it works better for most landscape shots.
