Downtown Amory

Downtown Amory

Saturday morning I got up pretty early and drove to Amory to take photos. I was pretty dissapointed that the sun was not out, but hidden by low cloud cover. I could see a beautiful sunrise hiding behind those clouds as they broke up a little bit, but never fully revealed what it was hiding, but I made the most of it and I think I got some pretty good photos.

This scene is right as you approach Amory's historic downtown area. This is the second town in a row that has one of these old clocks with the town name, which I think is really cool. It sits in a nice little park where the restored Frisco train sits on display (I remember seeing that train as a child). I've been to Amory several times before, but have never really explored the downtown area. it really is a nice town.

I love taking pictures of sunsets and sunrises and colorful skies and colorful scenes, but the beauty of a photograph isn't always in the color of it, but in the content of it.
