Gazeebo at Lake Tiak-O'Khata

Gazeebo at Lake Tiak-O'Khata

One of the places I knew I needed to get to while in Louisville was Lake Tiak-O'Khata since it is a well know place there. It's a beautiful lake and when I made it there it was getting fairly close to sunset and we all know that sunsets and water make for good photographs. I was attracted to the gazeebo that sat next to the water so I took lots of pictures of it and this was by far my favorite. In fact this is becoming one of my favorite photos period. The water turned out absolutely fantastic. It almost looks like a shiny textured metal. The colors turned out great as well especially considering it's the time of year when everything is dead, but I think the green pine trees contrast nicely with the dead colorless grass around the gazeebo. Hope you enjoy it.

Love this Strand theater in Louisville, which is apparently part of a string of Strand theaters (also saw one in Kosciusko). Not sure if there are more around the state or the country.
