Leaning Tree - Clay County

Leaning Tree - Clay County

I posted a photo of this tree a little while back during sunset. This is a shot from the middle of the day that I took a few months before the sunset version. I don't know which one I like better, but I do know that it's fun to shoot photos of this tree at different times of day/year because the scenery changes so much depending on when you're there. I didn't originally plan to go with a "leaning" theme the last couple of days (see the "Leaning Tractor" from yesterday) but maybe it's the slight lean that makes it interesting. It is fun to play with angles when shooting photos (this tree is not on a hill though it does sort of appear that way in the photo) because slight changes like that can make a big difference in the composition and can sometimes make it work better. You can decide if it works here.

Small Town Lion

I spotted this lion in downtown West Point but luckily he seemed to be frozen in time. Oddly enough, right across the street from this lion is a stuffed lion inside of a gun shop.

It's nice to know people with beautiful land. Took this in someone's backyard west of West Point. Beautiful lake, nice sunset, a few clouds, and a red cabin. How could I not get a good shot.
