Morning Tree

Morning Tree

I woke up early this past Saturday and headed out to the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge to capture the sunrise. Unfortunately (as has been the case lately) the sky was crystal clear. Not great settings for a sunrise (or sunset for that matter) but I was able to capture some nice shots nonetheless. I went out on one of the boardwalks at the Refuge and saw this tree all by itself with its leaves starting to slightly turn orange yellow and it looked great against the backdrop of Bluff Lake. The Refuge is a beautiful place. I even met a fellow photographer while I was there!

Sorry, no train track photo today. This is just some old photo from one of the Lakes out at the Refuge. This place is so great and is fun to explore any time of the year.

I really liked how they converted this old service station into the Welcome Center. It's nice to see towns put old buildings to use and keep that vintage feel.
