Spring is here and I am so excited to be getting some more color in my photos with the bright green grass to contrast the beautiful blue skies. I took this photo a few weeks ago while doing some people photography on campus. The colors were vibrant so I wanted to be sure that this photo accurately reflected that. MSU really does have a beautiful campus. The people you may have to squint your eyes to see are some Indian students playing Cricket.
What some people may not realize about HDR photography, at least my HDR photography, is that in most cases, I try to accurately represent reality in my photos, so what you see here is pretty much what I saw on the day I took the photo. Sure I take some liberties with color vibrancy, but mostly the color post processing is to better reflect what actually exists. Now, mind you, I said "most cases", obviously there are times when I like to experiment and be more artistic, because more than trying to mimic reality I want to create something that is pleasing to look at as a piece of art and not just point and shoot (Not that there's anyting wrong with that). I reallly want you to feel like you are in the photo and that if you touched the screen you could feel the texture of the grass.
Maybe I'll run into you in Jackson tomorrow!
