Orange Field & Finding inspiration

Orange Field

Here is a picture I took a while back at the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge during the fall. I played with the colors a good bit here, really bringing out the orange in the foregroud and the blue in the sky. I alway, always shoot in RAW on my camera, because in the post-processing you have so much more information to work with and play with because RAW photos contain so much info. I think it's interesting to play with color, both in saturation and in removing some colors and bringing out others. I've been looking at a lot of photos by other photographers that really make one or two colors pop, so I've been playing with that a good bit on my own photos. I think it's so important to get inspiration from other people, not so that you can copy their style/styles, but so that you can learn new styles and incorporate them into your own style. Don't limit yourself to one type of photography or photo editing, but explore and have fun and create new things.

Noxubee Refuge

Last November I went out to the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge and shot some photos. It was a great time of year to get out there, with the colorful Fall leaves still on the trees.
