My first stop on my tour of the gulf coast was Waveland. There are countless piers up and down the coast so I don't really remember exactly where this one was other than to say it's in Waveland. I had fun on the coast and got some good photos. I was feeling especially creative with this photo so I did a lot playing around with different things and ended up with this black and white version with a little color splashed in. I obviously don't do this with every photo but sometimes I do like to play around with no specific idea in mind. I just mess with things until I see something I like and it's often hard to explain to someone why I treat a photo a specific way. Sometimes I see it in my head and I try to translate it on to the photo, and other times I have no idea what I want to see until I actually see it. This would be my suggestion to people who don't think they are creative, because playing around is part of the creative process. I honestly don't think that you always have to have a specific plan when it comes to creating art. I think a lot of it is spontaneity and finding things by accident, or maybe that's just how I work best. So I say go and play and find your creativity.
