Before I took yesterday's photo, I found these two old trucks sitting next to the road just up from the water tower. The textures were great and the red was still pretty vibrant so i knew that it would make a great HDR photo. Texture is one of the things that makes HDR so interesting to me, because it really brings it out of the photo, creating an image that doesn't feel flat, but rather one you could seemingly touch and feel the rust on the truck and the blades of grass. It's tough not to overdo the style in photos like these, which is something I often did when I was first learning. Subtlety (something I've discussed many times in the past) is key in HDR so that the image still feels 'real' and not too diry or dark.
