Welcome & Columbus Marina

Welcome to Mississippi in HDR! I'm excited to finally launch this site and I hope that it will be a grand showcase of the beauty and uniqueness of Mississippi through the lens of HDR photography. HDR is such a fun way to capture photos. I plan to post a photo everyday, so please visit often and enjoy a new photo each time. Feel free to leave a comment and say hi, in fact, I would love for you to leave a comment! You can read more about HDR and me here.
Check out the photos page to see photos broken down by each county. I have only covered a few counties so far, but don't worry, I am making my way around the state so that page will continue to grow as counties in the state continue to be conquered!
As I make plans to travel around the state I am always looking for new places to photograph, so feel free to contact me or leave a comment and make suggestions on a place that you think would make a great photograph. Hopefully every photo that I take will include the exif below, so if you are a camera nerd and like to know what the camera settings are then check that out below or you can view that on my Flickr page, which each photo will link to.
The photo above is one of the first quality HDR photos that I took last year. That's the Columbus Marina here in Columbus, MS where I live. I think this was around March at sunset and I just happened to be walking around taking photos and I was surprised at how well the photo turned out and excited about the possibilites after that. Water and boats make for great HDR photos and it really brings out the reflection in the water. You can even see some ducks swimming around.
See you tomorrow!Read More
