This building sits next to The Old Country Store in Lorman. I thought it was a nice scene, because I love old buildings and because the trees were blooming with red flowers behind and the sky was awesome. I thought it would look nice as a vintage scene, so that's the treatment I gave it in post-processing since I pretty much saw it like this in my head before I took the shot.

I found this old church after taking a wrong turn looking for the road to Rodney. I ended up being way off but I at least saw something interesting. This church is about 1/4 mile up the road that runs right beside the Old Country Store in Lorman off of Hwy. 61.

We stopped at Alcorn State on our way to Port Gibson and other than it being absolutely in the middle of nowhwere, we had a great visit and saw what nice campus they have down there in Lorman, including a big football stadium. I thought with high school football already underway and college football being right around the corner that this would be a good time to post this photo.

Old Country Store

This is the Old Country Store in Lorman in Jefferson County right off of Hwy. 61, just north of Natchez. We were told to be sure and stop here and get some fried chicken. We did stop, but we decided not to participate in the fried chicken on this day (we had already eaten and my wife has a gluten allergy) so we settled for just taking photos and going inside for a bit to look around. The old building has a lot of character that really fits in with the historic area. From the Old Country Store we made our way through twists and turns to the old ghost town of Rodney.
